This is your last opportunity for extra credit. Somehow this year and especially this quarter has flown by rather quickly.
Many of you have experience with MySpace, therefore, I figured that this would be a cinch for you.
This will be an evaluation for me. Tell me honestly, what you enjoyed about my class, what you did learn, what assignment you liked the most, and what you think would have made class more enjoyable.
One last thing, what book do you think I should teach in the future for junior English? Full title and author's name please. Also include a quick comment on why you like that particular book so much. :)

Ms. Fukuda;
One thing that I enjoyed about your class was that you allowed us to express our creative energies freely. I learned a lot about punctuation and grammar from the DOL's. The most important thing that I think I learned was how to write a resume. My favorite assignments were the poems that we got to write and then draw out. I think that if we had more interesting books that were easier to understand, class would be more enjoyable, and I think you need to get rid of all the assignments in the Adventures in American Literature. The only one that I enjoyed reading from that book was Poor Richard's Almanack.
I think that you should read the book Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty. I like this book and all the others in the series because it is relateable and easy and interesting to read.
& Ms. Fukuda, you should give me extra-EXTRA credit for posting my own poem that I wrote a couple of years ago:
Heartbreaker
Shes a heartbreaker.
She can win you over with a smile,
and break your heart with a snap.
It's nothing intentional.
Shes just afraid of getting too close
Close to the wrong guy.
So she hangs around
With all the "wrong guys"
Waiting for the one.
She believes hes out there,
The one that will truly get her,
The one that would love her forever.
But until she finds him,
She goes around
and plays her game,
Like nothing.
Then one day,
She finds a boy,
A boy that is unlike the rest,
One that truly gets her,
and could possibly love her forever.
So she gets to know him,
and in the middle of their conversation
She realizes that he, too, is a heartbreaker
and her heart drops
Because she knows the game that'll be played
She knows it far too well.
She knows that all she can do is hope & pray,
That he will see how much he means to her,
A friend, an acquaintance, a love,
An end to this game.
Hope that he'll see that shes been waiting to find him,
and see how desperately she needs him in her life
At this point all she wants to know is,
What happens when you fall for a heartbreaker?

Your class was very enjoyable this past year because you don't restrict us from being ourselves and expressing our individuality. Besides the fact that your class was fun to be in, I learned a lot. Doing DOL's everyday has helped to improve my punctuation, spelling and grammar. My favorite assignment that we did in class was when we had to write poems about our childhood, and descriptive poems about someone that we love or dislike. I enjoy assignments that allow me to be creative and express myself. Your class could have been more enjoyable if you had incoorporated less assignments from the english text book because they are a little confusing to understand.
In future english classes, I am not exactly sure what books your students should read, but definitely something that they can relate to and become interested in. I am not one who loves to read, but when i find a great book, I can't put it down.

Hey Ms. Fukuda
This year was fun. I liked how free class was and how we were able to do almost anything we wanted. I think to make your class more of a learning environment you have to come off a lot more strict early on in the school year and stick to your threats when your rules are disobeyed. This'll help to keep the respect of your students and more of us would probably be more drawn back in the way we talk to you when we get mad.
I don't read a lot but i think the books we read this year were really easy and I thought we should've been challenged with more difficult readings. For example, House on Mango Street is a childs book, my cousin who's a freshman was reading that book and it's even below his reading level.
